The Aeroexpress company was founded in 2005 and is being the only operator of the railway service between the main airports of Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo and central railway stations of Moscow city, as well as the suburban passenger transportation service to the Moscow satellite town of Lobnya. The company acts in accordance with the license of the RF Ministry of Transportation.
The members of the company are JSC Russian Railways, LLC Delta-Trans-Invest and private investors.
The company's activity is oriented at millions of the airline passengers. Aeroexpress has become an integral part of the modern transportation system, distributing the passenger flows of Moscow city and region, solves the pressing transport and environmental problems of the metropolitan city. When the main highways are overloaded the only way out is the railway transport that provides a comfortable and in-time getting from the city center to the airport.
The first Aeroexpress electric train was put into commercial service in April 2008. At present Aeroexpress company provides service on such routes: "Belorussky station — the Sheremetyevo airport", "Paveletsky station — the Domodedovo airport", "Kievsky station — the Vnukovo airport", "Savelovsky station — Lobnya city".
The railway terminals, from which the Aeroexpress trains depart, are located near to the Koltsevaya metro station. It takes you 35 minutes to get to the Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports by Aeroexpress high-speed trains, and 45 minutes to get to Domodedovo airport.
The Aeroexpress company has its own passenger AERO rolling-stock, purpose-made at Demikhovsky machine building plant (Moscow region, part of the CJSC Transmashholding).
The Aeroexpress trains make up to 182 runs per day, providing comfortable and safe travel of the passengers.
The quality management system of the LLC Aeroexpress complies with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008, the sphere of application — "Railway passenger transportation". Since 2009 the Aeroexpress company is the member of the International Air Rail Organization (IARO), as well as the member of the Billing and Settlement Plan at airline service.
The Aeroexpress company studies the perspectives for the entry the regional markets of the intermodal passenger transportations in Vladivostok, Kazan and Sochi.
The Aeroexpress company together with JSC Russian Railways, The Government of Moscow and other partner companies takes part in the construction of the largest in Europe transport-interchange complex "Kalanchevsky", the total area of which is 400 thousand square meters. The new transport hub will be located at the suburban station "Kalanchevskaya" (northern part of the Komsomolskaya square) and will connect the city center with the three main airports of the Moscow aviation node – Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo. The construction of the transport-interchange complex will significantly improve the quality of service and will allow solving the key tasks of redistribution of passenger flows.
